(AY 2021) International students and researchers, France welcomes you and can vaccinate you!

France welcomes you for the 2021 academic year and is working on measures to ensure your safety as you prepare for classes on campus.

Last update: 18 Aug 2021

In France, we care about you!

All students and researchers enrolled in French higher education institutions will be part of the national healthcare system (assurance maladie), where membership is free and mandatory. This means that you will have the opportunity to be vaccinated if you want to and access Covid screening tests.

Before leaving for France, learn more about the assurance maladie system through this short video:

❗️Please remember❗️

As of 31 July 2021, the Philippines is still classified as an “orange/amber” country. Depending on your vaccination status, there are different measures to follow.

  • There are different sets of guidelines to follow, which depend on your vaccination status (fully-vaccinated travelers with EMA-recognized vaccines or unvaccinated travelers)

  • You'll find information on the important steps to take related to the health and safety measures, once you arrive in France. Take a look at the Accommodations and quarantine section for those who need to comply with the 7-day quarantine period on arrival (unvaccinated travelers).
