The country offers the strongest range of business courses in the region with 22 French business schools in this year’s ranking of 95 institutions across Europe.

Four French business schools are among the top 10, with HEC Paris claiming the highest spot, followed by INSEAD (3rd), ESSEC Business School (8th), and EDHEC Business School (10th).
Methodology
The European Business Schools ranking is based on the results of in the five Financial Times rankings published in 2021:
- MBA
- Executive MBA
- Master’s in Management
- Plus two rankings of non-degree executive education programs (custom and open) for 2020 (they were not published in 2021)
*NB: Online MBAs and Masters in Finance do not count towards this ranking.
The individual FT rankings make an assessment of several elements, specifically: graduate outcomes, including salary and career progress, as well as factors such as quality of research and international and gender diversity of students, faculty, and school governing bodies.
