2021 PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships

The Embassy of France in the Philippines is pleased to offer the PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships for the 2021 academic year (September intake). 

All applications must be submitted through www.philfrance-scholarships.com

Applications sent through other channels (paper, email, etc.) will not be accepted, and will therefore be considered invalid.
 

PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships Program

Through a partnership between the French Embassy and the Department of Science and Technology’s Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI); the jointly-administered PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships Program aims to encourage Filipino professionals working in academic, research, or government institutions to pursue a Master’s or Doctorate degree at French public higher education institutions. 

Intending to strengthen exchanges of scientific knowledge and expertise between France and the Philippines, the PhilFrance-DOST Scholarships prioritizes the following fields of study: 

  • Agriculture
  • Bioengineering
  • Bioinformatics (Medical) 
  • Biological Sciences
  • Climate Change
  • Forestry
  • Health and Medical Research
  • Material Sciences
  • Medical Chemistry 
  • Natural Resources and Environment 
  • Nuclear Application on Health
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Veterinary Sciences
  • Virology

Selected candidates will be entitled to the following benefits for the expected length of their academic programs:

From the DOST:

  1. one round trip ticket from Manila to France, 
  2. a monthly living allowance covering the duration of their studies
  3. a relocation allowance
  4. coverage of pre-travel expenses

From the French Embassy: 

  1. an exemption from public university registration fees
  2. an exemption from visa application fees
  3. a health care package
  4. priority access to public student accommodations

Awardees of this scholarship must return to the Philippines immediately after completion of their graduate degree, to render return service of a period equivalent to twice the length of time that they spent in France for their degree.
